I'll have to try the rasp. jello with the doughnuts. They sure love the doughnuts though. I use molasses as well. I also get day-old bread from an outlet store. Very seldome do I use any meat products.
We use alot of day old bread with pudding on top of it. Also use a few meat scraps, but not much as they are hard to come by. Also use oats and wheat with grease on it. Seems to work for us.
How is everyone doing. Our bait stations were dead for a week and a half but now we are having a little action. Not sure what is going on. Wondering if there is still natural food out there for them and they prefer that.
We did have four bait stations and managed to get two bears. Still working on getting one more from one of the two stations that we have left going. Going out tonight and checking to see if they have been hit. Sure has been a odd year regarding them hitting the bait stations.
Would like to hear how all of you are doing and how your bait stations are doing!!
Here is the scenario... you sit in your 2 piece climbing stand and your foot inadvertently bumps the lower section while there is no weight on it - and it slides down the tree, out of reach!
OK, you are safe - you have a string tied from the upper section that you are sitting on and the foot portion that slid 4-5 feet down the tree. All you have to do it pull the other section up, reposition it and you are back in business, correct?
Have you ever tested this theory?
I have -...
