Don't know how long the link will last, often links change.

The only beef I have is with the title of the article. We do know how the dad voted, we don't know if he was a liberal or a conservative.

This sucks.
You should never punish a kid because they have stupid parents. Kudos to the guy for going with his wife's kid and trying to be a good step father though.

That's ridiculous. But at least the wildlife people immediately made it right.

Poor judgement and very inappropriate behavior on the instructor's part.

I am glad it worked out for the young man.

Sounds like Lance Meek is a stand up guy. Kudos to him for making things right so quickly.
What Kell Wolf did was inexcusable and should himself be barred from hunting for his actions.

Thanks for posting civet. Thing like this need to be brought to ALL of our attention.

I posted to show how we shouldn't let politics affect good judgement as part of a community of hunters.

We desperatly need young hunters to take up the sport. Numbers are declining. Hunters of all political affiliation should be welcome, we should be defined by our common interests, not those things that devide us.

I hardly blame Kell Wolf, he has probably been subjected to a whole lot of disinformation, and it sounds like he was a very good instructor, I hope he moderates his thinking and again teaches.

Why don't you blame Wolf? He is an adult and should be held accountable for his actions.

I do blame him.

Because it might well be that amongst his circle of freinds and aquaintances, Democrats and specifically Obama is portrayed as about to bring about the end of civilization as we know it. Nazi, anti christ, Communist, leading us and our children into slavery etc etc etc.

Currently the Secret Service is overloaded with work just following up all the leads on threats from R wing haters. Living in Oklahoma, and probably being an avid hunter and shooter, Mr. Wolf probably gets a liberal dose (pardon the usage) of hate speach daily. No doubt he probably figured he was taking a principaled stand.

I hope that after consideration he realizes that a young boy wanting to go hunt with his grandpa, and taken to class by his US Marine step dad who voted for Obama, might be someone he'd enjoy teaching.

Isn't everyone, to some degree, a product of their enviornment? If so, then based on your reasoning no one is responsible for their actions.

I suppose this is why you accept Ayers and others who I find offensive.

Yes we are, and yes we are responsible for our actions. But you have to weigh the harm he caused versus the good he's done over the years and also the potential good he could do in the future.

Being a volunteer teacher at hunters ed is a good thing. Maybe Wolf will learn to differentiate his advocacy of hunting from the noise he hears on the radio.

I can agree with you provided he saw the error of his actions and changed his behavoir.
