you gotta love Montana!!

Ok I live on the edge of a valley in a farming/ranching/residential setting, lots of open fields and many alfalfa fields.I went out to look at a heard of elk that just started comming down into the hayfields as they do every year about this time, these are the same fields that are full of antelope all year. There is a real nice 6x6 bull out there with about 20 cows mixed in with the antelope.1/2 hour later I look back out with the binocs and the antelope and elk have vanished...as i scan the edge of the field I spot the reason why, there is a HUGE black Bear eating on an antelope gutpile from a buck the neighbor got night before last, right out in the open alfalfa going to town,at the opposite side of the field there are three WT bucks watching him,all of this set to the background sound of the canadian geese flying around the lake,it is times like this that I thank God I live in Montana!!! Thumbs up Big smile Thumbs up

That's alot nicer than my day. All I heard today at work was "go fill up your gas tank after work gas is going up!" if one person told me that 50 people told me that. Gas jumped 50 cents in about 5 hours. And with driving at least 100mi a day to school and work and whatever errands I have to run; gas is killing me.

... yummmm ... If I didn't live in Idaho, I'd sure be looking seriously at Montana ... actually, for reasons I won't explore, but do understand, my wife has vetoed any thought of moving to Montana - BUT SHE HAS NOT VETOED THE THOUGHT OF HUNTING there.
