Hey Quinton, I was surprised

Hey Quinton,

I was surprised when I stopped in to talk to Matt today about getting something done later. I hadn't been in there for about 8 years but he recognized me instantly and then started talking about my hunt and the europeans I had just done. He laughed at the look of surprise on my face and said "I talked to Quinton today" caught me by surprise for sure. lol

I will definately post up

I will definately post up some more pics when it's done. I will be hunting every day off till December now and then of course the holidays will be here. I will send you a message when things slow down and get back to normal so we can meet up down there somewhere. Or if I get a whitetail big enough in Texas the first week of November I'll be bringing it down to Matt as soon as I get back. A little to soon to be thinking that far ahead though.

I think I read somewhere that you'll be out this weekend with your brother in 61. Good luck on that hunt, I know another guy that killed a 310 bull in muzzleloader there this year.

By the way my dads bull green gross scored 340 3/8. Net would come down a fair amount due to the short number 5 on the one side. It was scored at sportsmans by someone but not sure who as I wasn't with.

Most definately

Wade,

I would love to get my hands on those antlers ! How long is the g-4 on the left side ? Score or not he is a great bull ! After December maybe we can get together.

I am getting super excited for this 61 hunt of my bro's. We have one giant were sitting on right now with 3 great back up bulls in different areas. I went up last Saturday and got my brother going with some of my favorite areas and then have had him on the phone all week while I am working and he is watching them. They have been screaming, fighting and going crazy.

Those are some nice looking

Those are some nice looking europeans Hunter!  I have always said I am not too keen on doing mounts that way, but some of them really turn out nicely!

Congrats again on both animals!  They will turn out really nice.  BTW, what is your Dad doing with his elk?  It was a nice animal.

My dads got his boiling right

My dads got his boiling right now and it will be a european as well. He really doesn't care about getting a mount done and doesn't have the room anyway. Plus at nearly 1200 for a good bugling mount he just doesn't want to spend the money. I've got some feathers from the crane hunt last year and some rawhide he's going to use to dress it up a little bit though.

Hunter25, those look great

Hunter25, those look great and will look great on your wall. Very good year for you so far and hope your luck holds out. I have done a few skull caps myself but never the whole European mount. Thanks for the photos.
