I'm mulling a trip to the Wind River Range in a couple weeks. Depends on how work plays out. Part of my willingness to stay home this weekend is/was that it more enables me to spring for this trip to the Winds. I have not been to the Winds - it's been a dream. An old friend is going in for a week and has invited me along.
Winter is tough on whitetails, that is an accepted fact.
You can help the quality of your herd by providing winter plots - that are not necessarily designed as kill plots.
