Most of us got out tags.....so our group will have a total of 8 tags...not counting some that will up there with us but not camping with us. My wife and I both drew two doe tags each..so we should have plenty of antelope meat for some more summer sausage and jerky.
I just checked the results when I read this and found out that we did in fact draw our any antelope tags as expected with three preference points. We didn't apply for any doe tags as I was short of money at the time but if it's anything like normal I will still be able to pick some up as leftovers later when they go on sale.
Only 3 months to go and we'll all be hunting again.
When calling coyotes, more often than not they will circle on a target they are
coming into and approach from the downwind side. Presumably they do this in
order to align what they smell, with what they are hearing.
This means that you should always have your downwind side camouflaged and have
an open shooting lane. If the area is heavily covered the coyote could come in
take a look and be gone, with you none the wiser.
