wy national forest ?

Can a nonresident hunt elk in the Dunior Valley in the Absarooka range without a guide?  Im pretty sure the Dunior is in the shoshone national forest.  looked on the wy fish and game website and couldnt find anything about it.  Wy should take some website lesson from colorado also.  That website is not very user friendly

WY NF

From what i understand, a nonres can hunt NF, the only thing you can't hunt without a guide or being with a WY resident is a wilderness area.

yes

Depens on where exactly, but nearly all of the Du Noir Creeks are outside of the Washakie and Teton Wilderness Areas.  In fact the boundaries start at the ridges above those creeks.

Ex- yea that is what I was seeing too.  Do you know of any links for an overlay of such boundaries onto Google Earth?

google earth

Did a little search and was able to find this.  It gives you the National Forest boundaries on Google earth.  117654-ForestBoundary.kmz    From this and looking at the wilderness areas maps it looks like the area I was interested in is just outside the wilderness area.  Lot of grizz in that country. I spent a week their last fall and saw two.
