Worst news lately...

Man Oh Man,

I have a young man hunting with me in SC who is from Florida and is a wheelchair hunter...

Helping to get him from the golf cart - to the wheelchair - and into the pickup this weekend, I made the crucial error of forgetting this his chair was in front of the truck - and drove forward onto it - bending the axles on both sides.

I felt so freaking bad... he has a better chair at home, so I had to pack him up, fuel his vehicle and send him home - and he missed that afternoon and the next morning for hunting.

He took it in stride and is coming back this weekend for three days... I hope I can get him on some deer to semi make up for my error.

Read it and weep for me, folks... I screwed up big time.

Makes me feel like my previous hard work with him was slightly cancelled out.

Best regards and good hunting,

JimBob in SC

Just like in everything else

Just like in everything else we do" you know what happens".  Replacing a wheel chair is the last thing on his mind he is probably just wanting to get back into the field.  I am sure karma will take over and you guys will get a moster buck from it.  Good luck and keep us posted.

Yeah, that really sucks. You

Yeah, that really sucks. You are doing something most people wouldn't do though and it was purely an accident. You probably felt worse about it than he did. Man, accidents happen. Don't get down too much. Pick yourself up and get that man a deer this weekend. Good luck!!!!!

I'm sure it will all work out

I bet he truely isn't that upset about it.  I also won't be surprized to read about a trophy buck being killed by your wheelchair-bound hunting friend.  Heck, he's probably already forgotten about it and is just dreaming about the fun times he will have hunting with you!  What's done is done; all you guys can do now is make good out of the hunts you have in front of you.  Now, shake those bad thoughts out of your head and get that guy on some deer! lol

Good luck!
