The worst accident I have had
The worst accident I have had while hunting was a fall from a ladder stand in 1996. I fell about 8 to 10 feet, landing on my back on soggy leaf matter. I suffered a burst fracture of the L-4 vertebrae. Luckly it burst outward rather than inward or I would be in a wheelchair!! I now suffer back problems that limit my mobility but I can still hunt.

I haven't had an accident
I haven't had an accident while hunting...knock on wood. I had a close call one time. I was leaving the woods one evening after squirrel hunting. I pulled my shotgun butt back to get around the brush. BOOOOM!! It went off with the muzzle within a foot of my head. Luckily it was pointing directly away from me. It's the closest I've come to crapping in my pants. Very scary.
Old Professor, my uncle fell out of a loc-on type treestand and broke his back many years ago. Luckily he wasn't paralyzed. It took the paramedics 9 hrs to get him off the mountain and to the hospital. He had 2 rods implanted in his back parallel to his spine. He's had trouble with his back ever since.

A buddy of mine when we were bow hunting together managed to stick a arrow through his stomach and liver when he triped. That was a fun 6 hour trip to the emergency room.

First deer I ever shot, i had
First deer I ever shot, i had to shoot left handed. Never practiced that way, so it was awkward. Gun goes boom, deer falls down. i start walking over, and feel something running down my nose. I guess I had got too close to the scope and it got me on the bridge of the nose.
Funny, but didn't notice it with the shot, I was so pumped with adrenaline.

Did not happen to me but my
Did not happen to me but my dad when I was 12 years old. While dressing oiut a cow elk the knife slipped and he stabbed himself in the wrist. He was able to get the animal dressed out and we then proceeded to make the 2 mile trip back to camp. After that I got a crash course how to drive just in case. We heaed into Walden and he ended up getting 15 stiches...pretty scary when you are 12.
