Good grief... LOL. Impressive.

Kind of reminds me of a smaller version of those extinct/prehistoric "Irish Elk" I think they were called. Imagine if those monsters were still around!

Thanks.

Isn't it amasing what they

Isn't it amasing what they can do with a genetic engineered deer?

Can you believe people pay upwards of 30,000 dollars to shoot a buck like that.

Yeah... I can. I've read/heard about what some guys will pay for a trophy Bull Elk tag etc. on the Indian reservations here, and it is close to that. For all I know maybe more...? I guess if you're loaded it may seem worth it...

Came across this earlier today from an article from The Mule Deer Foundation. $260K for a Mule Deer tag... wow!!! I guess 30K isn't squat, LOL.

"Highlights in 2010 included the sale of a Utah Statewide Mule Deer Tag for an all-time high of $260,000. Arizona’s Statewide Mule Deer Tag sold for a record $177,000. Colorado’s Statewide Deer Tag sold for a record $130,000. The New Mexico Big Game Enhancement Package sold for $130,000 and included five hunting tags which consisted of a mule deer, elk, oryx, antelope and ibex. The unique California Golden Opportunity Grizzly Island Tule Elk Tag sold for $32,500."

About the only thing that I don't agree with on these tags is the 365 day hunting season with the weapon of your choice.  It is like the spider bull that was taken in Utah in 2008.  It was taken during the muzzleloader hunt with a high power rifle on public ground.  I think that the season for these tags should be only during the correct season with the correct weapon.  So if you have that tag you can hunt anywhere you want but if it is during archery season you need to use archery tackle, muzzleloader season a muzzleloader, rifle season a rifle.  This would still give the person that bids the most almost a 4 month hunting season no matter what state they are in.  But then I guess that the state needs to give them their moneys worth if you are going to bid that high.  I personally am still trying to win the Arizona Big Game Super Raffle but so far all I do is donate my money.
