Wolf & Preditor Control ?

If I see a wolf or yeot i shoot it or at it. When prediters loose the fear of man man can become prey.

Wolf & Preditor Control ?

I was living in monterey ca when they first banned the cougar hunts. And within a few yrs they were getting onto one of the college campuses in the area, forgot witch one, then the state had to pay large amounts of cash, to trappers to destroy the animals. So you can either have the hunters pay to keep the pop in check, or you can pay the the trappers/pro hunters to do it. HMMM? But it is very good to see the idaho fish and game openly admit to the detrimental effects the wolves have had on the elk and deer pops! We might not be able to kill them all but i would like the chance to try! Big smile

meeting today with Trappers..

You could have a open season and not even kill 3% of them...even with baiting...we have all of those tools and we don't even put a dent in them....good luck...there is only one way to make a differance..

How would you deal with the wolves? I think it will get worse before it gets better

dealing with this right now in BC

We are dealing with the wolf issue right now...here is a snap shot...

In the earlier 1900 we had few wolves and few Moose...Then came logging and new habitat and more Moose and then more Wolves...Wolves can survive well and thrive on Moose , Deer and Elk...they continued till the 50s where the problem was completely out of control... almost no Moose....so the BC goverment allowed a fellow named Hatter to do ariel flying with poisioned meat...they wiped out thousands of wolves ...the game numbers skyrocketed ! to all time high...every species.....More than ever before...Now the leaf lickers are more worried about the Wolves than all other species....we are at the point that the Moose and Caribou are in serious decline....We have hired experts from the Yukno that have simalar experince...ariel gunning..it is called Lethal and non lethal sterilization program....you sterilize the alfla Male and female...kill the rest of the pack..and the two left will keep other Wolves from filtering in...They hold the territory....2 eats less than 15...

So ariel gunning, sterilization and poisining where nessasary with agressive trapping insentives...

Even with all of this , you won't get them all....Man interfered , so man has to balance it out...

That would work, wonder what kind of resistance idaho would get.
