winchester Mod 70

I a few years back purchased a Winchester Mod 70 Ranger in a .270
I never really thought much of it but in all my searches I have yet to find any reference to a Mod 70 Ranger including the Winchester Website.
Anybody have any info on this rifle?

winchester Mod 70

I know they came out in 1985 in standard calibers.
