Here are some preseason scouting pics I took on our place near Augusta MT last year, the right hand buck in the 2nd pic is a real nice wide buck that I was looking for during the season but I did not see him until I had already filled my tag, maybe this year!

Really nice photo's and your not using a disposible camera or even a point and shoot. First, how did you get photo's in here? Next, tell me about your equipment.

I've got 35mm (Nikon N70 and F5) , 35mm panoramic (Hasselblad x-pan), digital (Nikon d70), and mediun format ( Pentax 645 NII & Mamiya RB67).
I think I saw a web site on one photo, will give it a try.

Nice photo's!!!

I just went back and did that "click" thing to look at these larger. For those of you that might not understand, these are extreamly well done and not the product of a snap shooter. Great depth of field, super exposure and wonderful composition. Some can do this by accident on occassion but not constently as seen here. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanx Don,I use a fuji s602,its a medium range camera,i hope to get one someday that i can use a telephoto lense on.I spend alot of time out in the wild getting my photos, its great practice for stalking bigame and I get my preseason scouting done.I try to spend time in a new area every summer and I get familiar with many new hunting areas that way. Here is a pic of a turkey i took yesterday morning on my way to go fishing, there were several jakes feeding along the river near Hauser Dam on the Missouri.

Your getting these photo's with a fixed lense camera? You must have the patience of a saint. I use either my F5 or More now my D70 and a 150-500 Sigma lense. On my digital that give's me about 700mm @ the high end.

Where are you up there? In the late 60's and early 70's I lived in Lakeside, Sommer's and Missoula. I love Montana but it was really hard to make a living back then. You really needed to be born and bred there. Was in Kalispell a few year's ago and really disapointed. So took a trip up to Polebridge, same thing. To many people walking around smelling flower's, hugging tree's and eating health food. Went down thru Dillon a year or so ago, they haven't invaded to bad yet. Missoula is a wreak. Used to drive for Mountain Pacific out by the old airport and lived in Wheeler Village, all gone.
