i live in 80 and 81 is close by and i have never heard of that even if they were put here they would probably die off in the winter considering the winters get about -20 F in December-January

RUFF, I'd heard about hogs in Co, but heard there were was a small wild population (from break outs and migrations from OK) in the southeast portion of the state. South of Lamar. 80 and 81 are in the Valley right? Didn't know they were that far West. Is the DOW saying these are actual wild hogs or domestics that have gotten loose from farms/ranches?

I've heard hogs can be devastating on the native plants/animals in newly claimed territory.

If there was a hunt-able population I'd damn sure get after em. It'd be fun. Are they supposedly on public land hunt-able areas?

SoCo as far as I heard they are definately wild pigs I lived down there last summer and never got the chance to get after em but hopefully I can make some time and hit it hard. And yes they are can be found on public grounds and if not im sure the farmers wouldnt mind you killing a few on there land as they do a whole heck of a lot of damage.
