Just to put this in there. My wife nailed a nice 8 pointer from the same tree stand I nailed my 12 pointer out of. I will post some pics later on. I'm guessing he will go 100"-110". This is her first buck. She told me it was a huge 8 point and I thought maybe it was my big wide 8 that would probably go 150"-160" but it wasn't him.
Congrats on your harvest!
Heck, even a 100 inch deer is a respectable deer. Congrats to your wife on a nice 8 point. Get some photos up so we can have a look. You guys are really slaying them up there this year!!!
Congrat's to Wife Man,how's the daughter do'n?...She been out lately?...Down here i've only seen one doe since season start'd...2day is Gen Gun,i feel sorry for them Yote's,if i keep see'n them as much as i have i'll prob put 5 or 6 of them down this year...O what did wife get her deer with?...
Here is a picture of my wife's 8 point buck. She used a crossbow. I will be getting my daughter in the stand mostly in the evenings this week. My son will be hitting it in the mornings. I will be going out with all of them but probably won't be shooting anything myself. We try not to take out any does this time of year because of the rut. I will have a couple doe tags left for the late season. I love the late season evening hunting as long as it isn't windy.

That's a beauty of a buck right there! And tell your wife to smile a little more. She's grinning, but looks a little hesitant. I'd be smiling ear to ear with that buck!!! ![]()
Congrats again to her. Good luck to your son and daughter both this week!!!
Day 1 this week no luck yet. Big cold front moving in Wednesday night. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday look real good. Tuesday and Wednesday it will be around 70 degrees. After that day time highs will only be in the 40's. Looks like good hunting late week and into the weekend. YEAH!!!!!
Congratulations on a fine buck to your wife!! I have not taken a whitetail that large yet so that one being her first is a huge accomplishment in my book. I just got back from Texas and although we filled the tags didn't really do too well this year.
Good luck with the rest of your families hunts and thanks for the pictures.
Congratulations to your wife on the successful season ! Thanks for sharing your hunt and your photographs with us. That’s a great looking buck! I would sure be happy with putting a tag on that one! Sharing a successful hunt with your loved ones is as good as it gets! This even has a happy ending of meat in the freezer and a trophy rack. Treasure these memories and any future hunts that you have like them. Part of true happiness is enjoying each day for what it has to offer knowing that THESE are the good times that you will look back on. I hope that you and she can enjoy a lot of similar successes ahead! Good luck to your daughter too!
Congrats to ManOfTheFall Wife!!! A very nice Ohio buck for sure! Looking forward to reading that story! Definitely a success for her and with more opportunity remaining for the rest of the deer season. Great Job!
And yes, watching the weather out there. You should have some great hunting opportunity weather wise in a couple of days. Good luck to you and your family on the rest of the season. I call my Dad tonight as he and my older brother are doing some archery deer this week on the farm. Brother Dave got himself a 9 pointer last week on the farm. Younger Brother Joel got himself a nice doe. Dad has all season to walk out his front door so he has passed up many bucks and doe already.
I would like to see some pics of that 9 pointer. Congrats to your brother.
