Why the hell do I respect this guy so much!!!

Also, I view a lot of your sanctimonious accusations you throw constantly to be 'bad behavior' or at the very least unneeded and immature schoolyard 'teacher teacher, tattle tale type crap, but to each their own. If it makes you happy carry on.

Of course that is your opinion and you are entitled to it.

The big difference between you and me is that I responded to you without calling you names. I addressed the topic and issue without resorting to insults.

It is obvious you don't like me and that is ok with me.

I ignored you for a long time and that is what I shall do again.

Adios

SoCo, I understand what CVC is saying. You WERE trying to be insulting, I just wasn't buying into it.

CVC, I believe SoCo is a bit politically misguided! If he dares to open his eyes and see what's really going on, he may see the light. But then on the other hand, he may never admit it.

During the early Carter years, I was actually a supporter of his (during my politically misguided years!) but it didn't take long for me to figure out what a mess he made of things. He may have been sweet and charming, but he was not a leader. Right now we have a "president in training" which is why we're seeing him flip-flop on issues. He's a great speaker with no leadership experience. Its going to come back & bite him. People will wake up and see what a terrible mistake they've made. Like Expat said in another post, the pendulum will swing back, it always does. Conservativism is not dead, we just need to get back to basics and truly stick to conservative values. Bush did not, he was too middle of the road. We need another Reagan. Americans as a whole are tough, loyal and very patriotic. They're not going to tolerate Obama's kowtowing around the globe for long.

And in regards to your (SoCo's) comment about crimes, what crimes? No charges have been filed, nothing has been proven. At this point its all liberal media propaganda.

You are free (obviously) to do what you will. But, you are wrong in thinking I don't like you. I think you're a good guy just throw a drag (as you do with mine) with your style and thinking at times. But hey, that's life.

Well darn, I don't have the gift of divine knowledge as cowgal does so I'll probably wonder in the wilderness blindly for eternity, rats!

Crimes? No charges will ever likely actually be filed and they don't need to be for me to think their criminals. It's my opinion. Many crooks get away with crimes and are never charged. Doesn't prove their not criminals.

That's 13, SoCo...

My critical thoughts were intended to be overly simple. The point is that you're such a robot you can't even disagree with Obama's choice of shoes.

What makes this even more ridiculous is the fact that he's reversed himself on so many issues it ought to be easy to find one you disagree with one way or the other. But then again, maybe that makes it tough -- it's not easy finding an issue he hasn't already claimed both sides of the fence on.

But you won't even try to think for yourself, and that's just said. Come on, you can do it. The world won't end if you disagree with him on something.

Sorry -- it was 14, SoCo -- you slipped one in while I was posting.

I feel like I'm Will Ferrell as Alex Trebek on SNL's Celebrity Jeopardy. Here -- I'll make it REALLY easy for you. All you have to do is pick one of the following and answer "Yes" or "No." It doesn't matter which -- either answer disagrees with Obama.

1) Do you think we should ban assault rifles and high-cap magazines?

2) Do you think we should hold military tribunals for detainees?

3) Do you think we should use confiscatory taxes to take back AIG bonuses?

4) Do you think we should release photos of detainee abuse?

5) Do you think the federal government should incur massive debt?

6) Should we prosecute lawyers who wrote legal opinions on interrogation techniques?

Expat, I'm almost sorry to tell you this since your neck already hurts. But he's just reversed himself on this too. Tribunals are back in.

That's what I'm saying. Every one of those is something he's reversed himself on. I'm trying to make it easy for SoCo. All he has to do is answer "yes" or "no" and he disagrees with Obama -- and it doesn't matter which one he picks!

I'm really going all out here to convince SoCo to take the red pill, find himself, and discover life outside the Matrix. But I'm just not sure he's capable.

Of course the tribunals are now slightly different. Twelve detainees as apposed to all of them, no use of information obtained through torture, no hearsay, etc. Of course one might consider if these detainees had been detained using legal methods in the first place we might be in a better position. Understanding a difference in tribunals requires nuance, go ahead and look it up. The People's Democratic Republic also has courts and trials, does that mean the level of jurisprudence is on a level with ours? Well maybe not, but then that takes nuance, something not dished out in heaping servings on Glen Beck.

Back on topic... Expatriate just because you are a pushy arguer doens't mean any of your arguements hold water. For instance your counting when you ask an irrelevant question, as if by not answering someone is avoiding something. Reminds me of Fox's countdown since Obama had been on the network. Why not ask the "when did you stop beating your wife" question. That's always a conversation enhancer.

The ascendancy of the fact based community has been a breath of fresh air. The media is still five years behind but they will change or become dinosaurs. In the end facts have a very distastefull way of intruding on "conservative" orthodoxy. So far elections in America are fair give or take a couple of percentage points. Every couple of years the voting public gets to make their choices, anyone care to bet on the senate make up come January 2011?

SoCo I don't know if you'd agree but I thought of something I don't agree with Obama on. When he became President I saw nothing of a plan on what to do with wingnut gun nuts in southern Alaska, I'd take their guns, give them pom poms and make them dance at every high school basket ball game.
