Wow you guys all have great plans. Wish I could hunt several states I just can't afford that right now. It's OTC archery elk for me, now that I qaulify as a CO resident. Hope I get the time I need from work to do a good amount of scouting. Good luck to all and I'm sure we'll try to keep each other updated.

The last three years i was in the same position. There are far worse places to be stuck than here in colorado though. There's plenty of variety within a couple hour's drive.

Sitting down with my hunting

Sitting down with my hunting partner in 2 weeks to review our Colorado elk and mule deer plans. It has been a hard and long wait but really looking forward to it! Looking really hard at a 4th rifle season for cow.

I will start 2013 with my

I will start 2013 with my first trip to Alaska! I'm headed to ketchikan for a blacktail and fish.  Then it's back to co for bear in sep. Oct. will bring co bull in gmu59. Then in nov. It's off to n.e. montana for whitetails. The deer hunts are doubly exciting to me as I have only taken mulies.

I was planning on hunting in

I was planning on hunting in the Gunnison area for deer/elk, but will be joining my brother and nephew in unit 37 for a 1st season rifle hunt. I again applied for all the species in CO, and will apply for elk/deer in OK, but probably the 5 day elk hunt will use all the time I have this year; unless I draw a really nice limited tag. Good luck in the draws and enjoy the planning/scouting.

2014

Earning preferance points for ML in 2014. Hopeing to draw in unit 25 with 1 point I may be dreaming but time will tell. Had a great elk hunt in Montana last fall,I won't be able to head west this fall.Looks like Ohio whitetails, ducks and pheasants, maybe ducks/grouse in Michigan.

Awesome

Now get prepared and keep us all posted.
I'm banking elk points in Wy for my son and I.
How many points did you need to draw?

Bighorn

I am going to throw my hat in the ring for Bighorn this fall in Montana. 1% draw odds are not encourageing, but someone's going to draw. I think I am going to put in for unit 123-30.
