I hear that there is a lot of snow up in NEO now. I took a preference point for spring bear as My info from over there said the snow would be in too late this spring. I opted for fall season this year.
That is the report that I got as well. I have a few areas that should be good regardless of the snow. I have a friend who is a biologist that lives over there and he has been donig some scouting for me. We shall see.
When calling coyotes, more often than not they will circle on a target they are
coming into and approach from the downwind side. Presumably they do this in
order to align what they smell, with what they are hearing.
This means that you should always have your downwind side camouflaged and have
an open shooting lane. If the area is heavily covered the coyote could come in
take a look and be gone, with you none the wiser.
