They ain't cheap because you have to pay for all their advertising. I just bought a new bow and the Switchback was on the list but I went for the Whisper Creek. Whein I pulled back the Whisper there was no comparison for me, but the bow has to feel good to you not me Big smile

Bowtech makes an excellent bow.
I'm with the understanding that one of their key design engineers just married one of the Martin daughters and has come out with a new design and label. I've seen one fired in a demo. Don't recall the brand name but it was a quiet and smoooooth shooting bow.
Myself, I shoot a couple of Martin compounds and they are very nice.
As far as Mathews. I think they have one of the best approaches to marketing.

Whitetail...Take a look at the past 15 years of compounds....Mathews are nothing but rip off artists of other peoples designs and inovations. They just have deep pockets for advertising (which you pay for) If you havnt shot the new BowTech then of course the new switchback feels better than your tomcat...Concidering its a full copy of 2 other designs...the allegiance and the new Martin. My reccomendation is to go shoot that BowTech first and you will be very much surprised at the better feel and better accuracy of it.

The new brand of bow on the market is the Elite. I believe they are rated at 330fps. Well worth looking at.

I've owned many bows over the years. Still own quite a few. A guy or gal has to have a bow that they like. It may be the fastest, quietest, newest technology bow on the market but, if something doesn't feel right about it. It won't be the one your carrying on the hunt.

Another bow that will be coming out in the next few months, that is well worth looking at, is the new Martin Bengal. Without a doubt, there will be one in my collection. Parallel technology, single or dual cam, quite, 7" - 7 1/2" brace, 32" axle, very forgiving and fast.
