Boy Red those are some tall racks . I am guessing they came from the same area? Same gene pool? They must score pretty good ?

Naw, just kiddin. I have a nice 8 pointer mounted (will post a pic soon) and the one I got this year isn't back from the taxidermist, yet. ,)

I shot this one from 170 yard, using a 7mm-08 140 gr Rem corelokt, one shot near dusk. I did the mount nyself (too cheap to pay for it).

Jim - The first one measures roughly 130 (8pt.) he only measured 14 inside
The second measures 150 (11 pt.) measured 17 1/8 inside and had very short G4's
The third measured 170 (15 pt.) measured 15 4/8 inside. Had nice character!
The first and third came from same area and # 2 was about 7 miles away. 1 & 2 are lacking heavy mass, I have mounted every set of antlers I've ever gotten or found and I love 'em all!

Most of the bucks around here have about as much bone as from the brow tine down on those bucks

for red rider:
he measured 21 " and i took the picture on the car to get more contrast. Here it is on the wall. This was pretty good for a south texas nonmanaged deer.
