Whiskers can be set up to finger shoot. It works well on the older bows that used the flipper type rests. I have a mid 70's model Ben Pearson that I have been considering doing that very thing to.

Is there any specific way that you would set it up for finger shooting as opposed to release?

When you mount the whisker be sure to leave enough space for the feathers to clear the shelf. You will want the cock feather out to the side. Temporariiy set the biscuit to line up square with the string and the knock set about a half inch above square.
Knock set position and lateral position of the whisker will depend on how you release. They will have to be adjusted to you.
