Where to practice with my bow?

I currently live in Littleton Co.  I need a place to practice shooting my bow this summer.  I would like to be able to shoot out to 50 yards.  This makes those 30 yard shots easier.  Does anyone have a good place to go?  Can I just go to a Wilderness area and set up a bag target?

Check with a archery shop and see if there is a range near you.  Other than that you can shoot it just about anywhere out of the city limits or up into the foot hills as long as it isn't restricted and yes you can go into a wilderness area and shoot as long as you want.

We always take our bows and target when ever we go camping just to get in some practice.

One place to consider in the

One place to consider in the Denver Metro area is No Limits Archery off I-70 and Monaco.  They are an indoor range.  Most of the lanes are 20 yards, but they also have a 30 and a 40 yard lane.  Their 3-D range goes atleast to 40 yards, and possibly a little further.  I am not positive, but I believe $10 lets you shoot on any of the lanes (including the 3-D range) as much as you want for a day.

Otherwise, I think you could find a spot in the Pike National Forest where you could setup a target.

You might be able to shoot in some of the Colorado State Parks in the area, but I would talk to a ranger before I tried it (some of those parks have some unique rules).

Good luck and have fun!
