Elk

Welcome to the site.

You need to do some research on your own, and narrow it down, there are a lot of really helpful and friend people on this Site, more so then a lot of other sites i visit, but no one is just going to give you a spot.

Go to the DOW web site, check stats on the units, look at some maps to see how access is, pick a unit, then ask for some tips.

I agree. Even as residents we still have to do our research every year.

good access

Not sure where you heard that information, but there's really good public access in 21 and 30.  31 isn't too bad either.

All units decent for elk

All three units are decent for elk, but I would suggest sticking to units 30 and 21. Both units hold good numbers of elk and the chance of taking an exceptional bull with better public access. Both units, depending on where you end up, can be very steep and rugged.

Let us know if you have more specific questions and good luck.

Thanks

We appriciate the info Elkkill06.We dont like stepping on resident hunters toes but here in Nevada our tags are all draw and you never get one so we would rather support your economie and hopfully meet some real Elk hunters.Once again thanks for the info. and good luck on your future hunts.

Suggestion for GMU 21

Does anyone have a GMU 21 general location suggestion given the warm weather we have had? Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dennis
