Speaking of quail, they have all but dissapeared in central Va. I can't remember the last time I flushed a bird. 15 years ago, there were at least a couple coveys on this place. The Game Dept. doesn't seem to be concerned, but bird hunters around here usually travel out-of-state to hunt, like down to Texas. I do believe there are more woodcock than quail, and I haven't flushed a woodcock in many years. What could be going on with the birds?
