Where is everybody?

Is it just me or does it seem like membership participation has dropped off signifigantly on this forum? I get the feeling that it's only a handful of us around lately. When I first joined this place, it was rocken & rollen. Still is, just not nearly as much. Is it just me?

You may be right but It seems to slow down this time of year. Once folks draw their tags, they'll be back on........asking........I drew such and such tag, never been there before.......and I'm leaving in a few days.......would you mind sharing with me the best spots, as I won't have time to scout.........then after you share the info with them.....you'll rarely ever hear from them again....... Shame on You!

OK not everyone are takers, some do actually share and participate.......... Thumbs up

I know personally I've slipped off a little bit the last couple months. Trapping this season took up a lot of my time and now i'm gearing up for the mowing season. However, I do check in daily to make sure nobody's gettin' out of line. Big smile. Hopefully I'll have more input during turkey season. Thumbs up

You're not kidding. I've seen that stuff here before. Not only here, but from a lot of newbies to the sport from people I know in person. Mainly some people I work with. Don't want to be too critical, but there are just some people who were raised on the idea of taking.

We're approaching that time of year when people start...fishing, of all things. Sadly, they forget all about hunting for awhile.

I'm still here. I live in California and can only dream about real hunting. I live vicariously through you. Expat just has cabin fever. It's still too cold for him to go out! Laugh

Yukon checking in....still pretty frozen here

not thinking about hunting yet...soon we'll be trap shooting - maybe three weeks or so....just the smell of burnt powder will be great...

anyway...the hunt plans are on horizon...first though...are those nice big Lake Trout up close to the surface for about three weeks....smoke those puppies up and they are delicious.

I don't have cabin fever, and the weather's great -- temps are hitting 40 every day and the snow's melting quick.

I'm already focusing on spring bear, and will then worry about salmon and halibut during the summer. But I've got to think about my options in the fall. August offers caribou, September has moose, and there's even a possibility of a fly-in goat hunt in late September. But I'm enough of a realist to know I can't do it all, so I need to focus on one and start thinking logistics.

I'm here reading along but it seams that guys dont like the methods I use. So, I stopped talking about it sad I'm going hunting in 2 weeks Thumbs up
Then turkey starts. I guess thats OK to talk about even here. Then training season will be on for 4 months during the summer but since I'm such a *&^*&$%#$ I cant share that either. I'll tell you what though, it's a lot of fun and I can't wait.

I was wondering why you stopped posting as much.
They are just misinformed. Don't let it bother you .
I am still waiting on that "Ignore" button to come around !!
If they would just try it once they would not berate it and would sing praises to the sport.
They are like kids, think they know everything and whats best until they grow up and then they see the rhyme and reason behind things.
So post, post post and then post some more.
