...Wht not use a snare ? just remember to check with dnr , here a trappers licence is required i believe , i used to carry a foot long piece of rebar with a taped handle 3/4 to 1" should do just grab unto hind legs and a quick shot behind the head or use your .22 a box of short can't be that expensive

Something quick and clean. A .22 in the head. Never pick up a rabbit, especially injured. He'll bite the crap out of you. I only trap hogs anyway. Rabbits are only fun as moving targets. Have fun, but at least respect the animal enough to give it a painless death.

Actually rabbits do bite. They also scratch and kick... but with decent gloves you're fine. As for wringing their necks, sounds like you might just get some enjoyment out of it. If it makes me a sissy, then yes, I am a sissy. I would rather make it quick out of respect for the animal and shoot them with the .22.
