I cold call alot. with a digitl call and i use hand calls also. but i know the bears are in the area and some times they come and some times they dont but its fun a stay for about 45 minutes or a little longer. Should i stay longer????
I used alot of meat scraps last year they were hitting on a regular basis tiil it got hot and it all turned to a maggot bed. It was still in the upper 80 's till last week in sept. there are a lot of bears in the area I 'm just out at the wrong time
Got a new game plan this year. I going to use the same bait as my neighbor used last year peanut butter and licorice, molasses and grease to start with . and hunt in the evening. This is the bear I should've had! I left 10 min . earlier
One of the things I struggle with when afield is keeping my rifle clean and in good working order. Small amounts of dust and dirt collect moisture; moisture can freeze rendering your action immovable when you need it most. I have seen this happen on multiple occasions, and over time, I’ve learned the cause and how to prevent this from happening.
The first thing that you need to avoid before going afield is leaving excess oil on the gun. Oil will trap dirt and sand in all the wrong places....
