Don't know much about brands but definitly would go with the type you insert in the end of the barrel and has a piece that sticks up even with your scope. Those lasers are crap my cousin had to move a .450 marlin 74 clicks to the left and 52 clicks up just to sight the rifle in after having it laser boer-sighted.
The magnetic boresighter by Leupold is suppose to be excellent. I have never used a boresighter of any type because I have all bolt actions and can look through the bore with the bolt out and get my gun on paper that way. I then shoot at 50 yds to get close before moving to 100 and beyond. This will get you real close quickly if you are using a bolt action.
Hunting is not usually a pursuit where instant gratification abounds. It takes a lot of time, practice, resources and patience to be a successful hunter. So when someone decides that an area they hunted only once without taking an animal is worthless and devoid of game, I don't quite understand it. These people usually jump from game management unit to game management unit; trying a new one every year.
Now don't get me wrong, there are people that just enjoy scouting and hunting...
