What, when, and where was your first firearm?

My first was a Harrington & Richardson model 930, .22 lr. I got it when I was about 11. Couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with it but i still loved the thing.

My first gun was a single shot Winchester model 370, 12ga, 30" full choke. Still have it, as well as my second gun ever, a Winchester model 250, .22LR
Guess I've always been a Winchester fan.....lol. Yes

What, when, and where was your first firearm?

I'm having a tough time remembering which was first -- they were both around the same time when I was in my early teens.

One was a CVA Kentucky Rifle kit that showed up under the Christmas tree. That one took me awhile to get shooting, because I had to figure out how to finish the woodwork, as well as how to brown the barrel. It also taught me a valuable lesson one day when the thing punched me like a mule and sounded a little strange. It seemed OK, though, so I decided to reload and keep shooting. That's when I noticed my ramrod was missing. I finally found it a couple hundred yards away on the other side of the windbreak. I refinished the rifle a couple years later, but I still have it -- and the ramrod.

The first rifle I ever bought was a Remington Nylon 66 from the hardware store. Hard to imagine a junior high kid buying a rifle on his own nowadays, but I did. Had to shovel a lot of hog manure to save up enough money for it, but eventually it was mine. One of the things I liked about it was that most Nylon 66s came with a tubular magazine. This one had detachable ten round mags. I put a Weaver Quik point sight on it and took out a lot of squirrels, birds, frogs, and anything else I could shoot with it. That one's still in the gun cabinet, too, and my kids have learned to shoot with it.

Some things never change, though...I still put up with a lot of s**t to pay the bills.

My actual first gun was a pellet gun when I was probably about six, but what I consider my first gun was the enfield 303 I bought with my own money at a farm auction when I was 10 or 11. (I remember the auctioneer looking at my dad, and him nodding it was OK)
I was still small at the time, and the only way I could shoot it was to put the front sight on top of the right hand of the V; with the recoil throwing it up and right, I was deadly with it.
Problem was when I finally grew I couldn't shoot it worth a darn.

Have never seen the 66 with a clip? Would have made a great gun even better in my mind, I do hate a tubeler magazine.

The 66 was a fast light 22 way ahead of its time. Had on given to me once and I eventualy gave it to a buddie who wanted it for his kid. Besides the tube mag the only thing I had bad to say about the gun was; I took it all apart to give it a total cleaning once. Wow, there are about a million little parts and spring and dodads that make up that gun and I paid heck getting it back together again. Never took it apart again I will tell you that.

A Crossmen pellet gun when six or seven at Christmas and then an Ithaca 22 single shot lever action at eight or nine the following Christmas. Killed my share of rabbits with both in them younger years.

My first real rifle was a Enfield British 303 shot many whitetails with it when I was younger and the old 303 cartridge really puts them down hard! Great rifle to grow up with shot my first deer with it when I was 12.
