Idaho, for California Bighorn (subspecies of the Rocky).

Maybe Montana for one of the Unlimited Bighorn Hunts.

I asked Makwa more or less the same question the other day, for Canada.......

Quote:
Hiker..........as a non-resident you are required to use a guide. Guides are on quota, so you do not have to enter a draw even if it is a draw area for residents. If you book with an outfitter you are guranteed a licence.

In Alaska we as Non_residents can apply in the draw for a Dall but we must purchase a Alaska hunting license first. As NR we also must hire a guide to hunt sheep, goat and Grizzly-Brown Bear, unless we have immediate family who are AK residents and they will be hunting with us.

Hiker, i'm not exactly sure. would have to see last years odds. i'm assuming it would be about 12:1 or so.

12:1 is pretty good odds. showtimebc, I hope you are blest with a tag this year. Big smile

Is it possible to get a slam in BC? I know you have Dall, Stone, Bighorn but what about a desert? Does a Fannin count as a Dall or Stone or are they by themselves in the slam? Thanks

I'm almost certain that a Fannin counts as a Stone for the most part. Grand Slam Club says that if the Fannin only has a small amount of dark hair on the tail or legs the owner may count it as a Dall. If the dark hair is on the body or there is significant amount of dark hair it is a Fannin which may be substituted for a Stone for Slam purposes.
