get yourself a browning abolt . you can get the stainless stalker here in canada for $1000 plus tax. and if you perfer wooden stock with blued barrel they even run abit cheaper then the stainless. they have the detachable floorplate with the cliip snapping inside the floor plate....very nice feature!! remingtons are nice too but no clip(you can order the clip kit for them though about $100 i believe)hope this helps

wonksy with the remingtons if you get the clip kit does it removes the floor plate for the clip to go in, or does the clip just snap onto the floop plate.

i was thinking about getting the remington 700 mountain lss can i get the conversion clip kit for it

Don't know, but here's what cabelas had to say about the kit.
"Installs quickly in 700 BDL, 700 Classic and 725 rifles."

the spec for the 700 mountain lss says that it has a hinged floor plate magizine is that the same as the browning or is it when the gun has a internal mag then you open the floor plate to get the bullets out.

the browning has floor plate same as remington but inside the brownings floor plate theres a clip that you can snap in and snap out. in my opinion if your looking for a clip go with the browning and forget about the remington. like we said you can get the kits for the rems but there ugly as hell

If you are partial to remington and want a detachable mag they have a factory rifle that has a "clip".

I'm not sure but there used to be a lot of rem rifles with detach. mags.
