I’m currently shooting with a trophy Taker full containment but have a QAD rest just sitting there that I’m dying to try but don’t want to change now hunting season is so close!
I use the new 2010 Ripcord code red rest. The new molding is awesome, no more moleskin peeling off during the hunt. I love it that you can set the rest to the up position so it can hold your arrow in place on the bow. It’s the best drop-away rest out there.
I too shoot the RipCord CodeRed and love it. Switched from a WB to this right after last season and am wondering why I did not switch to a drop away alot earlier.
I still use a Matthews 2-prong type rest I put on my bow originally, with shrink wrap on the prongs. I've played with the idea many times of trying others, but just never got around to it. I've never had any problems with it, or difficulties that many seem to have with that type, so I guess it hasn't been a priority to me.
I am also shooting the RipCord Code Red drop away. It is shooting great and I have had no problems, but I sure miss my Bodoodle.
I use a WB dead shot, I've been flirting with the idea of switching to a drop away, What are the advantages to using one?
i use the trophy taker smackdown and just love it because it is a fall away that also acts as a full containment rest.
I use the Ripcord for the same reason, it also acts as a full containment rest. It locks in the up position if you chose to do so. Also with the red-over molding it is super quiet.
I use the Whisker Biscuit on my hunting setup.
I use the NAP Quicktune 1000. Have used a WB in the past and they work great also.
But now I use a Ripcord and love it!!
I have the QAD Ultra Rest. It is also a full-containment fall away rest. I don't have any experience with any other rest, but I am happy with what I got. Last time I was at the archery shop, they mentioned possibly tweaking the timing for the rest falling away, but I don't notice any problems ith it.
