Well that is very frustrating to say the least.  Since it is a hunt club I am assuming that there are written guidelines etc, was the farm hand within his right to kick you out or did he overstep his authority.

Yes we have very strict guide lines when it comes to our field...most fields are hunted only on certain days.  We were told by the club owner not to leave and we had every right to be there, but this crotchy old man just about disced under some decoys and got the back end of my buddies trailer....he would not even give us time to get out of the way before he started.  So we just wanted to get out of there and not cause any problems...be curious what I will hear from this after the weekend and the club owner has a chat with the land owner.

Man, why do some people have to be such jerks.  Old guy must be crotchity and senile for messing with guys that are armed. 

Wow that is a real shame. I thought when you get into a hunting club and pay your dues, that you get away from all that crap. I bet that kind of ruined your guys' day. Were you able to pick up and move some where else or did you just pack up and head home. It sounds like that landowner just had not gotten the things done when he should have gotten them done and that he was trying to make up for lost time. That is not very cool to kick everyone out though when you have an agreement with them.

I agree that it was a shame that it happened.  Hunting is time-limited and it is sad to have a potentially good day wasted like that.

Yeah, sorry to hear that also.  Gotta suck getting your hopes up for a good hunt, only to have it taken away like that.

We were given the choice to move to another field but we instead choose to pack it in for the day.  the other field was about 45 minutes away and by the time we got there and set back up it would have just been to late unless we wanted to hunt all day.

From what I have gathered so far...were kicked off the fiield by the famers dad....the farmer justn said thats how he is.  Being that the landowner and the farmer are not the same person I have not heard what the landowner has said about the situatuation.  The farmer did say that they "should" be done tuesday or wedsenday, but that is what they told the club owner last week. 

We have some friends that also farm in the area and they said that he can be a real hard person to deal with at times....hopefully this all gets ironed out as this field is great all season and even into our late snow goose season.
