Y I bought a new bow!

I used to shoot a older Darton and can't say any thing bad about it, great bow and grouped really well for me. Then one day at the range a guy was shooting a new PSE beside me and I couldent believe how much faster 50ft a second is, amazing. At 60 yards I would shoot and he would shoot a second later and his arrow was still getting there first and so much flatter shooting.
So I bought a Rytera and love it, I use one pin for 20 & 30 then 40 50 60 70. This will be a bow I will keep for a long time.

Groups

I haven’t shot this bow enough yet out to 70 but will be starting more here shortly, I don’t see it been a problem, at 40 I wont even shoot at the same spot any more its to hard on arrows!

Looks like a good shooter to

Looks like a good shooter to me numbnutz.  I agree that the prices on the new bows are just going to keep edging higher.  I have owned my switchback since 05' and don't have any desire to "upgrade".  I suppose at some point I will but most likely will just buy a used bow.  There are lots of good used bows out there due to the folks that need the latest and greatest every year.

New bow

I drew an archery buck tag so I thought I should buy my 1st bow. After trying some out for a couple of weeks I decided on a Bear Attack, FlashPoint Red Zone 5 pin sight, using Easton FMJ's tipped with 2 blade rage broadheads, off of a whisker biscuit rest for now.

How do you like the Bear?

Nothing to compare it with

Nothing to compare it with except for the bows I tried but I love it! After set up and tuned, 3 shots out of 6 hit the bulls eye at 20yds, I new I would miss 2 when I released, and the 6th shot well by then the sight was getting blurry for my first time. I have only shot about 3-400 arrows on it and sighted only out to 40 yds so far but with every shot I gain confidence. The Bear just fits me perfectly. The only bad thing I thought was that it weighed more than the other bows, but after shooting it for a while I cannot even tell.

The Mathews grip was too big/thick and I tended to torque my shots. The Pse's would not balance properly, and were top heavy for me. After I shot the top would drop back on me and was too distracting as I do not use a grip sling. Q5's Quest Primal was nice and drew smooth, but I could not get used to a dual cam bow. The Martin did nothing for me, except for the martin girl ads. Besides, those snake looking supressors just makes the Bear Attack look like a killer and plain mean!

Bowtech, Black Gold, RipCord

My set up is a 2010 Bowtech Destroyer 350 in Gore Optifade Forest camo, with a Montana Black Gold 7 pin FlashPoint RedZone, a RipCord code red rest, a Sims S-Coil stabilizer and a Octane bantamweight quiver.  Shooting Gold Tip Ted Nugent 5575 tipped with Rage 3 blade broadheads.
