What Is With This Forum and IE

So for the last couple of years I have been having problems with this forum and running IE 8 on a old computer with XP.  I didn't worry about it and just used Firefox which also had it's own issues.  Well, now I have a brand new computer running IE11 and Windows 8.1 sad to say.  But there is still a problem with IE in that I still don't get the whole reply too box to open.  It is also still lacking the tool bar at the top of the box and if I quote another reply it list encoding into the post until I save it.  I also had the same issue with Firefox but it was cured by installing Adblock Plus to Firefox.

So is anyone else having as much fun as I am while posting or replying to a post or am I just just lucky?

Maybe your lucky as have not

Maybe your lucky as have not had an issue posting or sending a reply but have had issues with putting photos on the site. Will download one or two then the site kicks me out. Can be very frustrating for sure.

I've never had any toolbox at the top since I joined this site?! I use Windows XP and Internet Explorer for my browser.

tool bar

The tool bar enabled you to type in bold letters, use italic, underline as you typed, insert a link or a image, change the color of the type, and a couple of other things.

I first asked this question back in 2012 in this thread but never got a responce from a moderator or adminstrator that even looked into the problem.  I guess that this thread will go the same direction but I hope not.

Just in case anyone else runs

Just in case anyone else runs into this problem.  I added a add block on IE which seams to of taken care of the problem.  I now has the full tool bar and no sidebar adds.

Now I just need to figure out why spell check isn't working on both IE and Firefox.
