What do you make of this picture?

I was retrieving my game camera photos the other day from my camera on a food plot and stumbled across this picture. My first reaction was a little surprised because of it being in April and not all but most breeding around here takes place in the Fall. When I zoomed in on the photo to get a closer look I noticed that both of these deer were starting to regrow their antlers. Yes, I said both deer have antlers. Now, I know that there can be antlered does but I do believe that to be very rare, and also believe that both of these deer are indeed bucks. Can anyone explain to me what might cause this behavior? Has anyone ever seen anything similar in their experiences. I have been watching deer for many, many years and have never seen this.

What do you make of this picture?

Saw that exact same thing last year. Two young bucks getting it on!!lol. I believe though it is like a dominant thing or something. Not 100% sure but I think it is a dominant thing.

I agree with BigBuck.

I have seen male dogs do this to establish dominance. I'm guessing these young bucks are probably doing the same thing since they're antlers are probably tender and velvety.

Just a semi-educated guess. lol

Thanks for the input. That is sort of what I thought, but just wanted to see if anyone else had ever seen this in Deer.
