What to buy????

Man, I've had a $50 Cabelas gift certificate and one for $25 from Bass pro sitting around for a couple of months.  Problem is, I have no clue what to buy.  It's not like it's a bank-breaking amount, but it still is enough to get something decent.

I'm more of an economical hunter, so I pretty much have wehat I need.  I have my one or 2 pairs of camo, one pair of boots, my bow, a rifle, and a shotgun.  Don't need much, just can't figure it out.

Any suggestions for the every day hunter???

After you figure in shipping

After you figure in shipping you are not going to get that much from either one.  My suggestion is to go to their web sites and find something that you want.  Then just use the gift card as a discount for what ever you buy.

I agree with Critter. One way

I agree with Critter. One way to get more for your money from Cabelas is to shop their "bargain cave" for deals.  I scan through it from time to time looking for deals on hunting "stuff".  Recently they have waived the shipping costs if you buy a certain dollar amount, usually $150 or more.  Subtract your $50 gift and no shipping.  It's about the best you can do.  If you aren't in a hurry, you should be able to find a good deal.  Good luck.

I agree. Sounds like you don't really need anything so get the squirt a new fishing pole and some tackle.

He's already got a pole and

He's already got a pole and tackle.  Actually, our neighbor just gave him another pole too.

I ended up going with a pair or Bushnell binos.  They were regularly $99 but were on sale for $49.  I like them, pretty nice for the money.

I think they're great. Now, i

I think they're great.

Now, i have the $25 Bass pro card.  I just noticed that Bass Pro has the Simmons rangefinders at $119, but you get 30% back in rebates.  So that would be $89 for a decent rangefinder.

Gotta do a little research to see how they are, but I may buy that.
