i use nap blazer vanes and shoot g5 montec broadheads they shoot great.  i dont see what the difrence would be changing vanes versus changing broadhead.

Who ever told you that must be smoking crack. Thats the whole idea behind the Blazer vanes, they steer the arrow better in flight! I fletch my own arrows with Blazers at 3deg. ( right coil ).

As far as broadhead type, I use slicktrick 100gr mag. But there are several good ones out there. I would be more concerned with arrow spine selection / bow draw weight, for matching things up.

I was told that by my local pro shop.  He said that the only way to go on the smaller vanes was expandables.  I was not sure.  I use to shoot 4" vanes with fixed blades and have just started back so I am just going by what I was told by the pro shop.  I prefferably like fixed and would rather shoot them if there is no problems with them.

Yeah they filled you full of BS.  I shoot the Slick Tricks with my blazers and they shoot great...that is what the blazers we designed for.  My Rages and Thunderheads also shot real good.

I use G5 montec and they shoot great with my blazers.

I shoot fixed blade muzzy's with my blazers and they shoot great, I dont know what kinda stuff there trying to sell you but i agree that your shop guy is smoking crack.
