West Virginia Senate to consider Gun Training in School
As a parent, i think "Gun Saftey" is an important class. Unfortunately, my daughters will likely never go hunting with me, but they will take gun safety. I want to be sure that if a "friend" of their's shows them a gun, they know exactly what to do, and what not to do. using the class to promot hunting is great anyway, but i think the knowledge itself is priceless. you just never know where a gun will pop up, and the uninformed are the ones that get hurt.
Others have offered up a sighting of roughly 2 inches high at 100 yards as a good sighting scheme. In my own experience I have come to favor a sighting of 3.5 inches high at 100 yards. This allows for the individual to hold dead-on (directly in the middle of the top and bottom) the animal out to roughly 350 yards.
