Got up at 5:30 to head out to my girlfriends elk unit. Got there close to noon and got lucky enough to catch some elk still hanging out in the open on BLM land:

Lots of other babies out today too:


Swung through the Gore Range and RMNP on my way home, the beetle killed timber was looking particularly bad around there.

If you look hard enough you'll see at least one bighorn sheep lamb:

Snows up on Trail Ridge were just starting to melt off, and the elk had just arrived:
