I was reminded looking at my antelope picture that a couple of people asked me if the antelope was alive when I took the picture. i responded, why yes, it was hard, but I was able to catch it alive and quickly tamed it so it would hold still while I had my picture taken. Was it alive? Really?
What questions have you been asked by well meaning non-hunters or even hunters for that matter, that just made you look for a sign to give them?
I have a friend who lived in Montana for a while and was working fixing up an old house out on the prarie. One summer day he had seen quite a few pronghorn running around the open land. One afternoon he went out on the road to close the gate to the property and this family in a car stopped to tell him "excuse me sir, but we were driving a half mile back and it looked to us like some of your antelope got out of the fence" My friend said all he told them was Thanks

You mean you can't get milk from those things? 
When I return from duck hunting I always have at least one person at work ask me if I caught any ducks. Caught ducks?? I didn't go fishing!
This is funny stuff and you can't make it up.
Yep, I was using a top spinner, but it wasn't working none too good so I swithced to live worms and that did the trick. Yep, we caught a whole tassle of them ducks.
That's the most common one I get. They seem to use the phrase "catch" alot when discussing hunting. Funny.
The other thing I get is , "hey, I saw a really nice (fill in the game animal) over there at (fill in the street intersection). Why are you going all the way up there to hunt?"
Uh, it might have something to do with the fact that where you saw the animal is in the city limits and I can't hunt there. Seems like the animals know it, but you don't LOL
The best one that I have ever heard was when I was working in Vail and a tourist would come up to me or somebody else and ask at what elevation deer turned into elk? I use to think that it was just a joke untill a person actually asked me it.
No question's here,but i've know this guy for about 7-9 year's,he grew up in Fla,hunt'd off an on all his life. I'd say he' bout 8 year's my senior, i brought up the subject of shed's, he look'd at me like i was crazy...He did'nt no that buck's shed their antler's or believe me,had to bring him an article out of a magazine....I just thought that was strange....I call him "Shed" now....
