Well, it worked.....

.....sort of.

I went and got my trail camera, and it wasn't stolen Wink

I had 190 photos, so I was excited.  However, only 3 had deer in them.  It appears that each day I had photos every 2 minutes or so, between certain hours.  Odd.  I'll post the photos when I download them.

I have no experience with

I have no experience with trail cameras so I can't even venture a guess for that one.

Mostly I just wanted to congratulate you that the camera was still there as I think some were taking:=D>  bets as to the chances it would be, you didn't give us much hope that it would be possible.

Well, I am overly pessimistic

lol Well, I am overly pessimistic about stuff like that.  It it can go wrong, it probably will to me.

I am happy I got one nice doe.  I am not picky, never having shot anything with a bow, so I will take anything.

Good luck using primative weapons. Me, I'll stick with modern technology, just like my ancestors. I may consider a bow for deer hunting in town however, as it tends to upset the neighbors less than the discharge of a firearm.

good!

Good deal that it was still there!  Sounds like you are capturing a blowing branch that is setting off the motion detector every few minutes.  You might want to do a little more trimming around where you placed your camera.

Yeah Mike, I was thinking

Yeah Mike, I was thinking that.  I was more concerned that it would get stolen, so i think I misplaced it.  However, if it was just a blowing branch, I would think it would go off all day.  It only went off between 1-2 PM.  I am wondering if it is a combination of movement AND heat at that time of day.

I know of some areas that you can almost set you watch by when the wind will start to blow and when it stops.
