weather in IOWA

I will be hunting in the Southeastern part of Iowa the first week of November. What kind of weather should I expect? Also, cold feet are not a concern where I hunt and wanted to know the best way to keep feet warm. I will be wearing Rockies with 500 grams of thinsilate is this good enough?

I think the thinsulate should be enough. I have never hunted in Iowa, but it seems to work well here in Colorado.

The important thing is to keep a few pairs of socks with you, in case you do get wet feet.

Avoid cotton, it really absorbs water and does not seem to dry out quickly.

Regarding the weather. Try the weather channel on-line.

Chasing w/a bow,
I live in central Iowa and the last few weeks have been cold. It has rained or lightly snowed a few times a week. As for the boots, I don't know. I myself would get a warmer pair. I bow hunt with burly's that have 800 grams of thinsulate. Somedays it's not enough. The good thing is the cold weather has them moving. You should have a great hunt as I have seen some shooters running around lately. I'm new to the forum and don't want to offend anyone by suggesting you checkout another forum but if you are coming to Iowa and want to talk to locals. I suggest iowawhitetail.com
