Weather

How's everyone liking the weather here in Sask. To darn warm for hunting and the deer have shut down moving. Need some cold to bring out the big boys. Don't know about you folks but I prefer hunting in a warm jacket not a lite shirt.. I guess the non hunters are happy..

Remember a "winter" like this in the early 80's. Was warm right to the end of the year, then Jan/Feb was real winter.
At least the animals will have an easy time of it. As I remember the following year was just a population explosion of animals.
Look at it this way, that big buck you're looking for will only be bigger next yr., plus the 'dogs are real easy to spot. Saw 2 on the way home from work yesterday and their coats looked real nice.

Hunting Tip: Don't Be A Unit Hopper

Hunting is not usually a pursuit where instant gratification abounds. It takes a lot of time, practice, resources and patience to be a successful hunter. So when someone decides that an area they hunted only once without taking an animal is worthless and devoid of game, I don't quite understand it. These people usually jump from game management unit to game management unit; trying a new one every year. Now don't get me wrong, there are people that just enjoy scouting and hunting...
