Washington 05 Deer and elk sucess

This year i got lucky and tagged the smallest 4X5 white-tail I have ever seen on the very last day of late season. With one shot at 300 yds with my .270 WSM.
What I want to know is how did every body else do for deer and elk???

While on a week long mulie hunting trip on Calispel Mt. just N. of Chewelah,Wa. My Cousin got this nice white-tail just below the tree line. My little brother and my cousin jumped him outa his bed in the middle of a rain storm. Brian dropped him at a dead run at 50 yds in the thick brush. He is a 6X7 that is 17 1/2" wide

While on one of our weekend brigades into the 3 pt infested Lincoln Co. My little Brother snuck up on this nice 4 point and dropped him in his bed with one well placed shot to the neck. One of his main beams is broke off and he has fairly light antlers. He is a 4X4 with a 16 3/4" inside spread. Kyle was shooting a .243 win with 100 gr Winchester supreames.

Is that the best picture you could find? I know that 7x6 has to be bigger than that. Is that Harry Poter with the guy that shot that deer?

My 4x5 2005 Elk

Let's see if I can figure out how to load a picture of the 4x5 Elk I got this last year....I shot this one on Tuesday, the 4th day of the season. I actually shot a 3x3 opening day, but had it stolen/taken from me by 4 Oregonians. That's a long story to be told around the hunting camp next year. Let's just say, that I lost 2 days of hunting, trying to get the Game wardens to help me get my elk from these guys, and finally gave up and went a bought me a duplicate tag, (since my original tag was notched, and they tore it off the horns anyway.). So, on Tuesday, I went back out to basically the same place I went on opening day, waited around to just about dark and this guy came wandering out into the alder flats. Had just enough daylight left to gut him and take the head off. Had to hike the 3 miles out in the dark with the head on my shoulders... Me and a buddy made two trips back in the next day, quartering him up and hike it out. I was very tired when it was all done, but well worth it....mmmm, mmmm that elk pepperoni tastes great....
