Want be long now

My two son's and I will be hunting GMU 12 for the first gun season and our drop ccamp is at 9400 ft. From what I've been reading there's a lot of Elk in this area. This is our first time Hunting in Co. and can't wait to see the country. I know there's not much of a chance at a trophy bull but to be able to hunt for Elk is a big deal for us,but bringing out an Elk would be great to. We have a little over 4 hour horse back ride to our camp that I bet will be a trip in itself. I've been reading all the info I can on here and it has been a big help. My older son and I have been getting in shape like everyone suggested. My 18 year old just got back from Fort Jackson, completed his basic traing so I guess he's already in shape. Maybe he can help out old dad. Anyway great reading all post and good look this year. We happen to be from Kentucky.

Sounds like you guys will be in the heart of elk country. Have fun and we are looking forward to hearing about your hunt. When you get time, post some photos of your hunt too.
