I couldn't imagine Walmart using the Weatherby name on a product that wasn't Weatherby Weatherbys'" lawyers would be over them like fleas on a dog.

Walmart sells the Weatherby Vanguard line, available in standard calibers and the 257 and 300 Weatherby Magnums.

It is a great "no frills" firearm made to the weatherby specs. and still has the weatherby accuracy guarantee. You can't go wrong with the price.

I have the Vanguard in .308...it wasn't purchased at Walmart, but it's a shooter for sure. At Wallyworld prices, it's tough to beat.

I picked-up a 300wsm weatherby Vanguard, stainless/synthetic. Great gun out of the box. Mounted with a Busnell Elite 4200 -- great package. Good hunting.

WALMART WEATHERBY'S

WALMART BUYS THEIR RIFLES BY THE TRAIN CAR LOAD

WHERE OTHER STORES MIGHT BUY A COUPLE DOZEN RIFLES.

THUS, WALLYWORLD CAN SELL CHEAPER.  WHEN I WAS A

GUN SHOP OWNER, THE LOCAL WALMART SOLD RIFLES

CHEAPER THAN I COULD BUY THEM FROM MY WHOLESALER.

That's the only difference

Walmart just sells for less, like madmax just alluded to.  Walmart is plenty legitimate.  I'm not thrilled that there is a walmart every 2 square miles apart, but I like walmart and shop there often.  Hard to justify paying full price when you can get the exact same product from walmart for less money.  Many specialty shops no longer offer the same level of customer service that they once did anyway.
