That's great, I love to hear the younger generation getting out and having people like yourself get them involved.

Well its not the Mulie Id been hoping for all of early season but hey what the hell thats what late season is for right? I got screwed by a few mulies during early season. One really nice 3 point near Davenport got in with his does and got away from death. Then I hunted Stevens Co. during the week near Chewelah and let a few could be's next year deer go....Then yesterday the late-white tail opened so I went out and let a spike walk....Then this afternoon I had a hald day from my Senior year in school.....(OH YEA CANT WAIT TO BE DONE)......I went out and hunted near Addy,......I seen 5 legal bucks....before I shot this one at 35 yds....he ran another 5 into some hairy buck brush before kicking the bucket....I had to drag him 3/4 mile back to a skid trail I could get my truck up to load him in....all isnt so fun when your alone. The wind was blowing 50 mph and raining very hard....he jumped out of his bed and I put one shot into him with my Bull Barrel Ruger .243. he is 17 1/2 inches wide. 4X4
I have been hunting for 6 years and have gone 6 for 6 so far and have yet to shoot a deer that didn't have antlers

Nice deer, RidgeRunner!

I took my 19 yo daughter hunting near Hunters opening weekend. We hunted a long ridge where I've been very successful in years past but didn't see an animal, hunting hard for two days. It was very dry and it appears that the deer are concentrated down in the thick brush close by the alfalfa fields.

I'm going back for the last weekend (11/18-19) with my 18 yo daughter. We've worked out a strategy to hunt the thick stuff. Hope it pays off.

This buck I got was no where remotely close to any feilds of any kind....but in the thick stuff was for damn sure. We have had some seriously akward weather this year from rain to snow 70 degrees to 25 its a weird year thats for sure...but hey best of luck to ya im sure there is a few bucks with your name on them. I have seen over 10 legal white-tail bucks since I shot mine and I havent even been out pouning around the brush looking for them....they are around...my buck is currently sitting in second place in a local big buck contest only to be pushed into second by a buck with the exact same size antlers just an extra point.... Cry ....oh well it was taken by a lazy road hunter........
