Vt. Moose seems successful

Yeap: Everyone is parading their catch, driving around with them hanging out of there trucks, of flatbeds...Saw 10 yesterday, though I am dissappointed about some of the yearlings I have seen. Shame on You! Bullwinkle from Island Pond came in and what a beast he was....over 1800 pounds...

Moose hunting in Vermont, wow!

As a long time deer and small game hunter up there we never saw moose. Glad that they are there now. We still have not considered hunting moose there and as non residents it may not be possible.

We will be up there opening day, as usual, for deer, with the rifles.

There is even some moose sign in a part of Connecticut now. Good.

Yeah Savage, it's amazing how quickly things change. I believe they started about 15 years ago or so with something like 50-75 tags, and now they give out aroun 1200 tags. Very fast growing population.

I'll be up there for the rifle opener too.......
