VT F&W sponsoring VPR

Heard something that annoys me yesterday.  I was listening to Vermont public radio and herd that the program was under written (AKA paid for) by the Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife.  It was not a program having anything to do with hunting or fishing or even environmental issues.  What the heck is the state of Vermont doing wasting Fish and Wildlife dollars propping up a radio station that already gets Federal funding instead of using those hard to get funds for the expenses of issuing licenses etc.?  That just didn’t seem right to me.

Well, I know that they do

Well, I know that they do alot of stuff with NPR, including sit down interviews with them.

I think it's like anoy other "business".  Buying ad time on different stations.

I know some of the powers that be had been on there in recent months/years to discuss the state of the Vermont deer herd, QDM, among other things.

talk to them all you like

Yeah I have no problem with them doing interviews or sharing information. It just bugs me to think that my license dollars are going to support the liberal left media when license fees are always going up!  My opinion is go ahead and talk to them all you like, but don’t PAY them with my money!  I’d rather see those funds used to support wildlife or offset the next license fee increase.
